One product, not a suite to assemble.
Zoho’s bargain is real: dozens of business apps at per-seat prices almost nobody undercuts. The fine print is that “Zoho” is not one product — CRM, Campaigns, Marketing Automation, and Desk are separate apps, and assembling them into one system is your project.
When Zoho CRM is the right call
Zoho is the stronger choice when breadth-per-dollar is the point:
- Among the lowest per-seat prices in the category
- A suite that stretches to books, HR, and helpdesk if you want one vendor
- Very deep customization if you’ll invest in its scripting layer
- Two decades of operating history and a global user base
When Unify Loop is the right call
Unify Loop is the stronger choice when coherence is the point:
- Campaigns, inbox, automation, and reporting native — not sibling apps
- Customization by configuration, with no scripting language to learn
- One filter engine instead of per-app query builders
- One admin surface, one bill, one place your data lives
The shapes, not the screenshots.
Feature grids go stale the day they ship. These are the structural differences — the things a release cycle doesn't change.
| Dimension | Zoho CRM | Unify Loop |
|---|---|---|
| Architecture | A suite of separate apps, integrated by you | One product on one data layer |
| Email marketing | Separate apps (Campaigns, Marketing Automation) | Native, on live CRM segments |
| Deep customization | Scripting (Deluge) and per-app setup | Custom objects and filters, no code |
| Filters & segments | Defined per app | One engine across every surface |
| Pricing shape | Low per-seat, multiplied across the apps you add | Workspace + seats + metered usage |

The suite bargain, honestly
If you need a CRM, accounting, helpdesk, and HR from one vendor at the lowest possible seat price — and you have someone happy to administer it all — Zoho is a rational choice that has served millions of businesses. Nothing on this page argues the price is wrong. The argument is about what the price buys: entries in a catalogue of applications, each with its own settings, its own data shapes, and its own idea of a filter.
Integration inside a suite is still integration
Connecting Zoho CRM to Zoho Campaigns is easier than connecting two strangers’ products, but it is not nothing: syncs to configure, fields to map, and the familiar question of which app’s copy of the contact is current. The suite moves the seams inside the vendor; it doesn’t remove them. Unify Loop has no equivalent step — campaigns read CRM filters because there is no second app with a second database to reconcile.
Configuration over scripting
Zoho rewards teams that learn Deluge, its scripting language — real power, real learning curve, and logic that lives in scripts someone must maintain. Unify Loop’s bet is that the common 95% — custom objects, cross-object filters, stage rules, durable journeys — should be configuration a careful non-programmer can build and read. When you change a field, the platform shows you which filters and automations depend on it, which is exactly the safety a pile of scripts can’t give you.
Switching from Zoho CRM, in detail.
Zoho’s per-seat price is lower. Why would I pay more?
Compare totals, not line items: Zoho CRM plus Campaigns plus Marketing Automation plus the admin hours to keep them synced, against one workspace fee with seats and metered usage. Depending on team shape either can win on paper — our claim is about the seams, not a guaranteed discount, and every number needed for the comparison is on our pricing page.
Can Unify Loop match Zoho-level customization without code?
For data modelling and automation — custom objects, relationships, validation, cross-object filters, durable workflows — yes, as configuration. If you have logic that genuinely requires arbitrary code, the REST API is the escape hatch. What you give up is a scripting layer inside the CRM; what you gain is that nothing critical lives in a script only one person understands.
What about the rest of the suite — books, desk, HR?
Keep them, or keep any tools you prefer; Unify Loop doesn’t do accounting or helpdesk and won’t pretend to. The comparison here is the growth system — CRM, marketing, messaging, automation — where the suite seams cost the most.
How does migration from Zoho CRM work?
Zoho exports modules to CSV; those import with column mapping onto pack-installed objects, and custom modules map onto custom objects — usually the cleanest part of the move, since both systems think in records and fields. Automations get rebuilt as workflows rather than translated line-by-line from Deluge.
